The man who trains world-class speakers was once too afraid to speak.
coaching or on stage
The capable one who stayed silent
On group projects, I did all the work just to avoid the presentation. All the ability, none of the voice. I felt physically sick at the thought of standing in front of people.
The iftar that changed everything
I watched a brother serve an entire room, sweat on his face, boxes under both arms, while I sat there to receive. Something broke open. I swore that night I would dedicate my life to serving others, with no idea how a man who could not speak would ever do it.
A dua in a sales office
World-class training in influence and the psychology of communication. I made one dua: O Allah, let me use this for the benefit of Islam one day. I had no idea how literally it would be answered.
The Ameer who would not speak
I launched AlMaghrib in the UK as their first Ameer, and accepted on one condition: that I would never have to speak publicly. That is how deep the cap ran, even while I was building something significant.
The student becomes the trainer
At iERA my role included training the organisation's speakers. The man once too afraid to present was now coaching some of the most recognised Muslim voices alive. The dua had been answered. What removed my cap became my life's work.
From the few to the many
I left my dream job to take the same transformation to capable Muslims everywhere. Over 10,000 trained, more than 600 coached deeply, across 40+ countries. And by Allah's grace, we are only getting started.
